In 1978, Louis Garneau, a competitive cyclist was the Canadian champion in individual pursuit cycling. At age 25, with a strong Olympic result, Louis Garneau retired from full-time competitive racing start a new race in his life – the design and production of cycling gear.

In 1983, he founded Louis Garneau Sports, which sells cycling clothing and accessories.

Today, Garneau cycling products are distributed in over 50 countries, with facilities and offices in Canada, the USA, Mexico and China. Louis Garneau is still at the head of the company, heavily involved in the design, testing, and manufacturing processes and continually spreading his passion for cycling. He’s been known to lead company lunchtime rides or join a local Wednesday night criterium, where he quickly proves himself as the competition to beat!

We partnered with the Louis Garneau brand in 2023 as their sportswear licensee for all non-cycling apparel.
