Taken from one of NYC’s oldest skate crews, the ‘Soul Artists of New York,’ Zoo York was founded in 1993 by Eli Gesner, Rodney Smith and Adam Schatz. The company was one of the first established East Coast skate brands that gained a huge following through its dedication to its roots in skate, graf, and hip hop culture. 

Thread Collective relaunched the brand in the U.S. in 2019, holding the license for apparel. It has experienced several years of steady growth and has become a top 5 YM resource at peak. Zoo York products are sold in department stores and off-price retailers.
